Join Sony Alpha, Unique Photo, wildlife photographers Ivey Kennedy and Bobby Stormer, and fellow bird enthusiasts for the 4th annual Bird Photography Bootcamp in Cape May, New Jersey!
This weekend is all about bringing photographers, birders, and nature lovers together to learn, explore, and experience fall migration in one of the best birding destinations in North America.
Whether you’re brand new to bird photography, an experienced wildlife photographer, or a birder looking to get more comfortable behind the camera, all skill levels are welcome.
Located along the Atlantic Flyway, Cape May’s unique position at the southern tip of New Jersey helps funnel migrating birds through a wide variety of coastal habitats each fall.
Throughout the weekend, we’ll explore different locations around Cape May in search of warblers, shorebirds, raptors, waterfowl, wading birds, and whatever else migration may bring! Ivey and Bobby will lead educational classes, sunrise and evening photowalks, and back-bay boat tours, covering everything from camera settings and autofocus to editing techniques to composition, light, behavior, fieldcraft, ethical wildlife photography, and creating more intentional images in the field. Sony Alpha reps will also be on-site with loaner cameras and lenses available throughout the weekend, giving attendees the opportunity to try out gear in real-world bird photography conditions.
Come spend a fall weekend photographing birds, learning from one another, meeting new people, and experiencing everything that makes Cape May such a special place during migration!
