Similar to this year, Ron and I plan on using three incredible Highlands locations: Isle of Skye, Isles of Harris and Lewis and Glencoe Area. We will begin our workshop in beautiful Inverness.
Ron Modra and I have personally scouted all our locations that we will use in this Workshop. We will also have a local guide along with us for the entire workshop along with a 28-seat van and local tour operator.
October 6, 2020: We will begin with a dinner and introductions at the Best Western Palace Hotel located in the heart of Inverness.
October 7-9, 2020: The workshop will begin the next morning as we venture off to the Isle of Skye stopping at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle on our way to the Sligachan Hotel. After checking in, we will be off photographing famed locations such as: Old Man of Storr, Taliskar Bay, Neist Point, The Fairy Pools and Elgol. We also have a night shoot planned back at the Castle as it stays lit until 11:00pm!
October 10-12, 2020: Next, we will take the ferry to Isles of Harris and Lewis (this is all one Island but don’t tell the locals that). The Hebrides Hotel is located 100 yards from the ferry terminal in Tarbert. Here we will spend another three days photographing iconic locations around the Isles including: Callanish Stones, The Northton Saltings, Luskentyre Beach, Butt of Lewis and Mangarstadh (famed sea stacks).
October 13-15, 2020: We will ferry back to Isle of Skye and move on to the Glencoe Area where will finish the last three days of the workshop photographing locations like: Stalker Castle, Loch Ness, The Three Sisters and the amazing waterfalls of The Lost Valley. We will spend three nights at the Kingshouse Hotel.
October 16, 2020: We will work our way back to Inverness along the shores of the famed Loch Ness where we will conclude the workshop with a dinner at the hotel. Flights home can be planned anytime starting October 18th. We are located a short 20-minute drive to the Inverness Airport
