Enjoy 10 glorious days photographing the snow-capped peaks, plunging waterfalls and dramatic fjords that make New Zealand one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Guided by professional photographers and Sony Artisans of Imagery Gary Hart and Don Smith, you'll explore New Zealand's mountains and rainforests, take an all-day fjord cruise on Doubtful Sound, and helicopter onto Fox Glacier for a guided glacier hike. And with the Milky Way's brilliant center glowing in some of the darkest skies on Earth, you'll experience the best night photography of your life. Winter is when the tourists go home and photographers thrive, but New Zealand is surprisingly mild, with typical highs in the 40's and 50's Fahrenheit, and lows in the 20's and 30's. In addition to many meals and all workshop transportation (with a local driver), your workshop fee includes private lodging in some of New Zealand's finest hotels.
