Join world renowned travel photographers Ira Block and Colby Brown as they have an in-depth discussion about storytelling, the challenges of travel photography and how tools like the Sony α7R III have reshaped the way they shoot out in the field.

1 - 2:30 p.m.
Studio Portrait Photography with Brian Smith and Katrin Eismann
To create successful environmental and studio portraits the photographer and subject need to connect and trust one another. On a similar note, the photographer needs to trust and rely on their equipment so that they can fully concentrate on their subject. Learn how Sony Artisans Brian Smith and Katrin Eismann work with the Sony α7R III to create unique and compelling portraits that are made possible by taking advantage of the latest features the α7R III offers including; shooting and tethering speeds, numerous focus options and the quality of Sony lenses.

3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
#CreateToConnect - A NYC Portrait Session with Adam King
Adam King will be teaching how to connect your emotions through a model to create powerful images using the Sony α7R III. Topics that will be covered are expressions, lighting, body language and inspiration through lyrics, quotes and poems. We will also be taking that inspiration and connecting it to a model during a photoshoot. We’ll also be focusing on how to effectively communicate with a model to bring your vision to the viewfinder. Attendees can expect to walk away with a new perspective on portrait photography, new sources of inspiration and feeling more connected to their work.

5 - 7 p.m.
Reception
After a day of great educational events, you’ll be able to kick back and relax, meet and network with the instructors and your peers in our event space. Appetizers and drinks will be served.
