A New Login System

Alpha Universe is transitioning to using the global Sony account for user login on Alpha Universe. Sony account lets you use a single login to access your identity across many Sony websites. 

New Accounts

All new users on Alpha Universe will use the global Sony account to login. The first step will be creating a new Sony account, or logging into it if you already have one. You may have set one up already as part of the Sony online store, Sony CI Media Cloud, Sony product registraiton, PlayStation Network, and many more.

New User Registraiton

1. Click "Sign Up" from the Alpha Universe site menu. You will be redirected to the Sony account portal.
2. Create Sony account, or log into your existing account.
3. Sony account will send you an email to verify your email address. Copy the code in the email and paste it into the verification page.
4. You will be redirected back to Alpha Universe.
5. Complete your Alpha Universe profile
6. (optional) Create your Alpha Universe Public Profile to share your talents with the Alpha community.,

Existing Users

Exiting users on Alpha Universe will need to transition to using the global Sony account. Your exisitng Alpha Universe username & password can be used during this transition period, but you are encouraged to switch to Sony account at your earliest convenience. 

Existing Users - Switch to Sony Account

1. Login to Alpha Universe using your existing (legacy) username & password.
2. You will be shown an alert with the option to update to the Sony account. 
3. Click on "Create Sony Account." 
4. Create Sony account, or log into your existing account. 
   IMPORTANT - if you have an existing Sony account, be sure to use the SAME email address that you use for your existing Alpha Universe account. This ensures your accounts will be correctly linked.
5. Sony account may send you an email to verify your email address. Copy the code in the email and paste it into the verification page.
6. You will be redirected to the Sony account portal.
7. Your Alpha Universe user is now setup to use Sony account for login.
