We named Bridge The Digital Divide as a recipient of the Create Action Grant to support their mission to enhance the lives of seniors by providing affordable technology, low-cost internet, digital literacy training and personalized tech support tailored specifically for their needs. As recipients of the Create Action Grant, Bridge The Digital Divide receives $50,000 in cash to continue and expand the organization's work, $50,000 in Sony Electronics products to support their action plan, and this Sony-produced short film telling their story:
Bridge The Digital Divide is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping seniors bridge the gap in technology access. They recognize that technology can significantly impact the overall well-being of seniors, enabling them to maintain social connections, access essential services, and engage in lifelong learning. By providing these resources, Bridge The Digital Divide aims to reduce feelings of isolation and improve the quality of life for seniors, helping them stay active and engaged members of their communities.
“It’s really exciting and amazing to see that we can empower these people to become more independent and utilize technology like everybody else,” says Isaac Kashaka, founder of the nonprofit.”
