Sony recently announced the new Version 1.30 firmware for the Sony Alpha 1. The new firmware brings a number of updates to the Sony flagship Alpha camera, and in this video, Sony Artisan Miguel Quiles taks us through it. Watch as he provides an overview of the new firmware update below.
Sony Artisan Miguel Quiles takes us through the updates in Sony Alpha 1 Firmware V1.30 for content creators, including 8K 10-bit and Lossless Compressed RAW.
“Now the Alpha 1 offers 8K recording with 4:2:2 10-bit quality when you’re shooting in XAVCHS,” says Quiles. “This is currently the highest video quality offered in Alpha series cameras and it gives you so much flexibility when you’re tweaking and adjusting your videos in post.”
Another update that Quiles says he’s been eagerly anticipating is the addition of various sizes to the RAW Lossless Compression Options. “Now you can select small, medium, and large size Lossless Compressed RAW files.”
“The Alpha 1 update also brings proxy recording during a remote computer connection, improved Eye Autofocus, and stability updates to white balance and remote shooting with Imaging Edge Desktop.”
