Many creators prefer the 35mm focal length when shooting, and now that it’s joined Sony’s impressive G Master lineup with the new Sony 35mm f/1.4 G Master lens, photographers all over are sharing their excitement. In this week’s Instagram Follow Friday we’re featuring some of the photographers and reviewers who have had the chance to try it out and have posted their thoughts on Instagram. See what they have to say and give their accounts a follow.

This Follow Friday we feature a group of creators who have tried out the new Sony 35mm f/1.4 G Master lens and posted their thoughts on Instagram.

Caroline Jensen – @carolinej

Caroline is a creative artist and Sony Artisan Of Imagery. She tried out the lens in advance of its launch and took this stunning series of sample photos below to show off its beauty. In her post she writes, “The GORGEOUS Sony 35mm G Master is here! It Is beautiful for food, portraits, nature, landscapes, astro, etc. – the do-it-all lens.”

Chad Wadsworth – @chadwadsworth_atx

Chad is an Austin-based photographer and a Sony Artisan. He put it to the test in these action and portrait shots he posted on Instagram, concluding, “The 35mm f/1.4 G Master is a dream lens y’all. Hands down the best 35mm lens I have shot. Super sharp with beautiful bokeh and a compact size and weight with top notch build quality.”

Dave Krugman – @dave.krugman

Dave Krugman is a NYC-based photographer and member of the Alpha Imaging Collective. He had the chance to test out the new Sony 35mm f/1.4 G Master and decided to take it up to the Top Of The Rock Observatory to capture his favorite time of day in the Big Apple. Jason is a Sony Alpha hybrid shooter and YouTube reviewer. After testing the new 35mm f/1.4 GM he posts, “Sharp across the board at 1.4! Smooth, creamy, clean bokeh. Julia is a portrait photographer and YouTube vlogger. The first image below was taken of her using the new 35mm f/1.4 GM with the Sony α7C and after using it she says, “"The focus accuracy was great and something I felt like I could rely on for a client shoot." Crissi Beth Cooper – @crissibeth

Crissi Beth is another Alpha Collective member based in New York City. She took the new 35mm f/1.4 GM lens around the city and used it combined with the Sony α7R III to capture this shot at Penn Station. After her chance to test it she concludes, “=“This lens is fantastic – easily the best 35mm I have ever used.”

Gerald Undone – @geraldundone

Gerald Undone is a YouTube reviewer and in his latest review he shares his thoughts on the new Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM lens. He posted this product shot below to Instagram and says it’s the sharpest and most optically pure 35mm lens he’s ever tested. 

Sal D’Alia – @timbuz
