Camera
Sony Alpha 7S III: The Sony Alpha 7S III is my main camera. I love this camera for a variety of reasons but the main one being the 4K 60 and 4K 120 capabilities. I love to utilize slow motion to enhance my videos and really bring drama to a specific moment. Additionally, the flip screen is extremely useful during my recipe videos as I tilt the screen to get the perfect view of the shot. Sony cameras allow you to customize your buttons and settings which allows my workflow to keep up with fast chefs in the kitchen so I never miss an important moment.
Lens
Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master II: I always wonder if another lens will replace my love for the Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master. Well, technically it has, once the Mark II version came out! It’s a bit lighter and less long, and it’s somehow even a bit sharper than the amazing Mark I, so I had to get it. This combo is easily my favorite of all time and I go months sometimes without having to use a different lens for the amazing Alpha 7S III. Not only can I zoom in with my lens, but even more so during post-edit since I film in 4k and edit in 1080p.
Accessories
Extra Sony TOUGH Cards 64GB: Durable, reliable and fast. Feel most comfortable with these because they don’t feel like they’ll break and god forbid it slips out of your hand, you won’t panic as much as some of the other card brands.
ColorChecker Passport Video: I typically include this in the video during a few frames to help with color correcting in post production.
Aputure AL-M9 Amaran Pocket-Sized Daylight-Balanced LED Light: This is great in a pinch if I want to capture a fun photo or video at a restaurant that is either dark or at night. Just be mindful of others around you when filming in public.
Drone: A must when traveling to capture amazing footage in the air. I love that this model can capture video/photos natively in portrait mode with one push of a button on the remote.
SKYREAT ND Filters Set For Drone: A must for video especially on sunny days.
Drone Remote: I didn’t know how much I needed this until I played around with it. You’d be surprised how many times you get a call or text while trying to fly using your phone as the screen so this helps with distractions and the screen is so big and crisp.
Microfiber Cloths: For cleaning the dust off lens correctly without smudging.
Spare Camera Batteries: Don’t forget, you will need them!
Transmitter & Receiver: A convenient and very portable sound system on the go or at home when making recipe sounds.
K&F Concept Tripod (k255a4): This tripod is the perfect size and fits in a travel size luggage.
