Chad Wadsworth - @chadwadsworth_atx

Chad Wadsworth is a music culture and commercial lifestyle photographer based in Austin, TX USA. The Sony Artisan made the images below with the Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM and said, “There’s just something about the way a 50mm renders perspective similar to how the human eye sees. 50mm makes your photos feel alive, like you can reach in and touch the scene."

Christophe Brachet - @christophe_brachet_

Christophe Brachet is a French photographer and Sony Europe Imaging Ambassador. An avid surfer and scuba diver, he began his photographic adventure in Martinique, taking underwater pictures of marine wildlife. He subsequently taught himself how to photograph, and eventually went back to France to become a professional photographer. We love the series of portraits he made with the Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM.

Vincent Thian - @vthian

Vincent Thian is a photojournalist for the Associated Press. He frequents the frontline of the world’s most important stories. He likens his 30 years’ worth of pursuit as recording history through photos, stating, “I believe the pictures I take today will be tomorrow’s history.” He described the Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM in the caption of the images below, saying “A versatile, compact, and lightweight G Master lens, featuring superb image quality, accurate AF, and exquisite bokeh for both stills and movies.”

Charisma Lico - @charismalico

Charisma Lico is a fashion and commercial photographer based in the Philippines. We love the series of portraits in the post below. The Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM really helped capture the details. You can see the primary subject in each image, achieved through the shallow depth of field. Lico said that the incredible autofocusing on the lens made the shoot easy and fun.

Kyrke Jaleco - @kyrkejaleco

Kyrke Jaleco is a travel filmmaker and director based in Manila. He gave the Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM a whirl with video footage and shared the list of reasons he became an instant fan. Here’s what he said:
“1.  Lightweight and compact. Especially for a GM lens
2. It has the same 67mm filter thread with the existing 1.4 GM lenses. (24 and 35) One size fits all!
3. Iris lock. An important feature especially for run and gun shooting.
4. Custom buttons
5. Bokeh is close to having the 50mm 1.2! If you’re on a budget, the 1.4 could be considered instead. But in terms of low light shooting, the 1.2 still has a big advantage.”

Luke Dale - @lukedaleofficial

Luke Dale is a filmmaker and director based in the United Kingdom. He is the founder of a dynamic film and video production company creating powerful stories and championing undiscovered talent but also working with a multitude of esteemed clients such as McDonald’s, The Dorchester and Grind Co. He filmed an overview video of the lens for Wex Photo and Video, which can be seen HERE. In the video the presenter explains why he would choose the Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM.

Mike Will – @m.visuals

Mike Will is a creative photographer known for his vibrant urban style. He is based in London, UK but travels all over the world to create content and energetic brand campaigns, his portfolio includes night cityscapes, travel, landscapes, music festivals and portraits. He often shows behind the scenes of many of his shoots and gives advice on composition, editing and photographic style. Below he shares a portrait series shot on the new Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM lens. We think the shots turned out stunning!

Antonio Garci - @garcifoto

Antonio Garci is a professional photographer based in Madrid, specialized in studio photography: portraits and personal sessions, catalog and fashion, and advertising photography. Oliver Wallner - @o.w.photography

Oliver Wallner is a street photographer based in Austria. His photography often features a close object from the streets in focus in the foreground, with the blurred background telling as much, if not more, of the photo’s story. His photography features dark and moody tones as his signature style. We have loved seeing the work he’s sharing that he made with the Sony Alpha 7 IV and Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM
