To properly tell the diverse stories of the world, storytellers must be diverse as well. Sony has a variety of initiatives for creators of diverse backgrounds and values to share their stories and put their creativity on display – and the Sony Alpha Female+ program is one of them. The goal for Sony Alpha Female+ is to continue to promote voices of all types. Commercial photography and photojournalism still experience gender inequality, meaning women’s and minorities’ stories and perspectives are often not reflected in mainstream media.
