Sony has announced the addition of three new products, two cameras and one lens, to the growing full-frame camera and lens lineup. We’re really excited about the features in all three – the Sony Alpha 7CR, Sony Alpha 7C II and Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 G Master II lens. Keep reading to learn more about what you’ll find in each below.
Sony Alpha 7C R
The new Sony Alpha 7CR is filled with features that will excite photographers, videographers and hybrid creators. It’s small, it’s light, and inside you’ll find the same 61 megapixel Exmor R Sensor found in the Sony A7R V and a Bionz XR Processor to deliver ultra-high resolution and image quality. The camera also includes a dedicated AI processing unit, giving users some of the best autofocusing capabilities to date. Video shooters will especially enjoy being able to shoot 4K 60p. There’s also in-body image stabilization with up to seven steps of compensation. You can also expect top-notch color in your videos, with the ability to shoot 4:2:2 10-bit color or even use S-Cinetone or S-LOG-3 for the most dynamic range in your footage.

Sony Alpha 7C II
Another excellent tool for the hybrid creator, the new Sony Alpha 7C II includes a 33 megapixel sensor, Bionz XR Processor and a dedicated AI processing unit, giving you exciting enhancements like improved subject recognition and improved eye autofocus performance and subject tracking. Its 759 point phase detect autofocus covers 94 percent of the image area, and can shoot up to 10 frames per second with both mechanical and silent shutter and both autofocus and auto exposure tracking. Smaller and lighter than the first iteration, the Sony Alpha 7C II offers 4K video with full pixel readout, 7K oversampling, 4:2:2 10-bit color, and All-Intra recording. With it you can capture 4K 60 frames-per-second video in Super 35 and 120 frames-per-second in Full HD. The camera also allows you to use S-Cinetone color and S-LOG 3, plus gives you 15+ stops of latitude as well as assignable user LUTs.

Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 G Master II
The new Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 G Master II is the 74th E-mount lens added to the lineup and also the smallest and lightest in its class. Inside the lens you’ll find 15 elements in 12 groups, along with four Extreme Dynamic Linear Motors which provide fast, accurate and smooth autofocus and silent zooming. The lens also has a minimum focusing distance of 8.7-inches across the entire zoom range with full autofocus. On the lens barrel you’ll find a declickable aperture ring and an iris lock switch, two customizable focus hold buttons that can be customized to your camera menus, and a focus mode switch. The lens also features an 82mm filter thread so you can add screw-on filters such as variable NDs or circular polarizers.
