The newly announced Sony α6300 surpasses DSLR performance in key areas of shooting speed and AF performance. The α6300  also has 4K video capabilities that place it in the top tier of still and motion cameras. The α6300  records 4K internally in super 35 format at 100Mbps. The actual image being captured is 6K which gives you 2.4X oversampling and results in 4K files that have realistic depth and dimension. There's no line skipping or pixel binning.

See the 4D Focus AF system in action. The a6300 has 425 phase-detection points across the frame that operate with a new tracking algorithm to achieve 0.05 sec AF speed.

More and more cinematographers are making use of slow motion. The α6300 can shoot high-image-quality Full HD footage at 120fps and it can also record 4x/5x slow motion internally when the frame rate is set at 30p (25p) or 24p.
