Repair and Evaluation Loan Programs

Sony PRO Support offers two (2) different types of loans to best serve the professional community. Here we break down the differences between Repair Loans and Evaluation Loans.

Repair Loans

To keep PROs working in the event of an extended repair event.

How To Use

  • If it is determined that your repair will not be complete by the 3-day deadline, an agent will reach out to notify you of the delay and initiate the loan request if needed

Requirements

  • A current repair that will extend beyond 3-day turnaround time.

Terms and Conditions

  • All loans are subject to availability

Evaluation Loans

To allow PROs to evaluate the latest models.

How To Use

  • Submit an Evaluation Loan request through the new PRO Support online web portal

Requirements

  • Loan must be requested 2 weeks in advance
  • Member must not already own the product

Terms and Conditions

  • Limited to Sony Alpha interchangeable lens cameras and lenses
  • Loans available once per product model
  • All loans are subject to availability

Maintenance Clean & Check

PRO Support Membership includes 3 complimentary clean & checks per year, and as a member you can send up to 2 qualifying pieces of gear per event. By maximizing the benefits available to you, you can redeem 6 complimentary cleanings per membership year, shipping included both ways.

Also, as part of your membership benefits, every Clean & Check service includes a complimentary full diagnostic. Our technicians will carefully inspect your entire camera and provide a clear report on its condition. If we spot anything that may need attention, we’ll share our recommendations. You’re never obligated to proceed, but we do ask that you approve or decline any estimates while your camera is still with us. This way, we’re ready to move forward if you choose.

Repair of certain CFexpress Cards

Community Announcement: Free repair for certain CEA-G series CFexpress Type A memory cards

Dear Valued Sony Customer,

There may be issues with certain CEA-G series memory cards, where the memory cards are not recognized, or the image does not save correctly in low-temperature conditions. The issue may occur around the lower limit of the recommended operating temperature range (14° Fahrenheit, -10° Celsius).

To address this issue, we will repair affected memory cards free of charge until June 29, 2029, subject to the terms and conditions of the memory card's original Limited Warranty.
