What camera do you use? Creator Julia Thompson gets asked this question often. Her answer? The Sony Alpha 7R V. Watch and read below to learn more about why the camera is her go-to for landscape and portrait photography:
1. AI-Powered Autofocus
The Sony Alpha 7R V features a whole new level of camera intelligence. State-of-the-art AI processing uses detailed information about human forms and postures to dramatically improve the camera's subject recognition accuracy and make full use of its potential resolution. Subject recognition has also been expanded to include a number of new subject types, including vehicles and insects.
“The AI-powered autofocus tracks subjects in any environment and as you can see, it has no problem picking up my eye even on a dark and stormy day,” Thompson says.
2. High Resolution
The A7R V is known for its 61-megapixel sensor, allowing creators to capture scenes in stunning high-resolution. “The 61-megapixel sensor picks up incredible detail and clarity in any scene, allowing flexibility on cropping and creating large prints,” Thompson says. The A7R V also has selectable large/medium/small RAW image sizes and quality, giving creators full control of their results.
3. High Dynamic Range
Shooting in low-light conditions can be challenging, but the A7R V has a dynamic range that’s made for shooting in those darker environments. Its wide ISO sensitivity range allows for clean, detailed images without the noise that often accompanies high ISO levels. “The high dynamic range makes post-processing a breeze, especially in light and dark environments.”
