This moment happened in front of me while I was trying to illustrate the most beautiful day of the year, according to many Catalans: Saint George’s Day, where lovers, relatives and friends give each other a rose and a book.

The streets are a hive of activity, people crowd around the improvised shops selling all kinds of books and stalls with roses for sale. Suddenly, the color of those roses in the crowd caught my attention, so I quickly slowed down the shutter speed of my camera to get some sweep and highlight the roses in the crowd that at that moment was walking down the street. I used the Sony Alpha 1 and Sony 50mm lens. My settings were 1/13-sec. shutter speed, f/16, 50 ISO.
I love to do daily life. That means to extract something attractive from an everyday moment. I think this photo defines what is just that, a moment of daily life.
