We were so excited to be joined by Niah Aldrich (@niahrosephoto) for a live Ask Me Anything (AMA) on the Alpha Universe Community Forums. Aldrich, a portrait photographer who enjoys pushing colors to the max, is a creative who gives a luxurious experience that allows people to laugh and have fun in their session. Check out a few of the highlights from the AMA below and see the complete conversation over on the Alpha Universe Community Forums.
During the AMA, Aldrich gives us the scoop on her favorite camera and lens combination. "My favorite set up for studio is my Sony Alpha 7 IV paired with my Sony 24-70mm G Master II that usually never leaves my camera body. I like being close and capturing some wide angles at the 22/35mm and then some mid to close up shots with less distortion on the 50mm/70mm."
As for her favorite lighting setup? She says she likes a one-light setup with a giant seven-foot umbrella silver parabolic with a diffusion sock. “I love it because it's a big giant light source that just throws soft light everywhere!”
When asked what has inspired her lately, Aldrich replied, “I have been really inspired by clothing lately. Been thrifting a lot this week, and have been picking some crazy patterned textiles. I hope to play more and incorporate some of that into some new work!”
