At a shooting extravaganza throughout Chicago and on a massive soundstage, Sony brought together the finalists of the 2016 RedBull Illume 2016 contest (which was sponsered by Sony, G-Technology, Yodobashi and Broncolor) along with a group of world-class athletes to experience how the Sony α6300 and Sony lenses can perform. With the darkened soundstage converted into a playground with BMX riders, skateboarders, MMA fighters, aerial silk dancers and fire dancers, the photographers pushed the camera and lenses to their limits. They tested high ISO capability, AF performance, viewfinder capabilities and more.
It wasn’t all just fun and games, though. The Illume 2016 finalists were invited to submit their best shots from the event for a chance to win a Sony TV and a Sony RX100 IV camera.
