Sony has released Catalyst Prepare ver. 3.0 and Catalyst Prepare Plugin ver. 3.0, bringing a redesigned interface, Ci Media Cloud integration and a unified subscription to its video workflow tools. The update combines Catalyst Browse and Catalyst Prepare into one application, giving creators a single place to review footage, check camera metadata and prepare clips for editing.

Whether you’re checking footage after a shoot or preparing selected clips for an edit, Catalyst Prepare 3.0 organizes the experience around four steps: Review → Select → Correct → Export.
The redesigned interface makes clip review the starting point, with correction tools available when you need them. A customizable metadata panel lets you pin frequently used shooting information at the top, making it easier to check the details that matter to your workflow.

One Plan For Catalyst Prepare & Catalyst Prepare Plugin
The updated subscription includes Catalyst Prepare and Catalyst Prepare Plugin for Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve under one plan. Creators can choose the standalone application or access supported correction tools directly within their editing software.
Free functionality in Catalyst Prepare includes video playback, metadata review, color adjustment and basic stabilization. Paid tools include advanced stabilization controls, sound separation and batch export for preparing multiple corrected clips.
