In Episode 5 of Through The Lens Cuba, the team heads to the El Patio del Pelegrín Community Project and talks with artist Mario Pelegrín, the Director of El Patio del Pelegrín. The TTL team learns about the project and how some youngsters travel great distances just to be a part of it. It's a place where art can flourish, but it's about much more than that. In an especially emotional and inspiring part of the journey to El Patio del Pelegrin, some of the kids were given cameras--something they never had a chance to use before. Alpha Imaging Collective member Andy To saw a couple of kids who didn't get one of the cameras. To, whose challenging background has left him with a profound desire to give back whenever possible, gave those kids his own cameras.
