Caroline Jensen – Sony Alpha 7R V & Sony 90mm f/2.8 Macro G
Sony Artisan Caroline Jensen is a fine art floral photographer and flower farmer. She relies on the Sony Alpha 7R V to create high-resolution flower imagery. “I use the Sony Alpha 7R V as my primary camera for many reasons, but one of the biggest advantages of this camera is the high resolution. I create images with a lot of detail and the ability to zoom in and make multiple crops from one image is essential in my workflow. My usual method is to create a large arrangement image and then slice and dice it into various crops to string together for a video.”

She also relies on the Sony 90mm f/2.8 Macro G lens to capture every detail. “I have used this lens since its launch, and it holds a special place in my heart,” she says. “It has been my macro go-to for many years. It has a great build quality, which is important for macro lenses, as they tend to get beat up a lot. This lens tends to be rode hard and put away wet and yet it holds up and continually makes great images. This lens is a bit longer so I usually reserve this lens for situations where I have a light on a stand or I’m shooting with natural light. This lens also opens up the world to true macro and makes the most amazing images of tiny things. This is my go-to lens for insects and fine details.”

Kristīne Zāle – Sony Alpha 7 IV & Sony 90mm f/2.8 Macro G
Kristīne Zāle is passionate about capturing nature's vibrant, dreamy details through macro and flower photography. “My Sony Alpha 7 IV is always with me on photo walks—it’s been my trusted companion since I first got it. The fully articulated screen is perfect for capturing those tricky low-angle shots without the discomfort of lying on the ground, especially useful for vertical macro photography. The 33 MP sensor gives me plenty of room to crop while preserving fine details. The newly added focus bracketing feature has been a game-changer for focus stacking, and I love the quiet operation of the silent shutter. Plus, the 10-fps burst mode is a great help for capturing insects in motion.”

She also calls the Sony 90mm f/2.8 Macro G her go-to lens for macro photography. “It lets me get close to insects without disturbing them, step back for flower shots, and maintain a beautiful background blur at f/2.8,” she says. “I appreciate the additional function button, which makes magnifying the scene for precise focus quick and easy. Whether I’m capturing detailed macro or wider shots, this lens gives me the flexibility and results I want in my photos.”

Kyle van Bavel – Sony Alpha 7R V & Sony 90mm f/2.8 Macro G
Photographer Kyle van Bavel loves macro photography and capturing beautiful landscapes with his camera. “The Sony Alpha 7R V is my main camera. This strong, compact camera is coming with me on every walk. I’m in love with the 61mp, as this allows me to get the best and sharpest macro shots. It also allows me to come even closer to my subject if I want without losing quality. The flip screen is helping me to get really low on the ground and gives me a clear view on how the picture would turn out.”
