Fun With Filters At Sunrise With Alpha Collective Member Stan Moniz

Have you ever used an ND filter to slow down the motion of the water or even an ND/GRAD to pop that contrast and structure of the clouds while maintaining a perfect exposure for the foreground? If not, here’s your chance!

Alpha Collective member Stan Moniz (@stanmoniz) will explain and guide you through the settings he uses to capture seascape sunrise photos while experimenting with various Hoya and Cokin filters.

You will take away a better understanding of how the use of filters can open up the door for more creative opportunities, adding another element to the fun of photography.

  1. Camera - full or crop sensor body
  2. Lens - wider and fast lenses such as a full Frame 16–35 mm wide angle zoom lens or crop sensor 11-16 mm f2.8 Lens
  3. Sturdy tripod
