From backstage prep to catwalk struts, Paris Fashion Week provides many unique opportunities for photographers to capture the fashion action. AP photographer Thibault Camus captured this image while covering one of the many exciting fashion shows. “Four times a year, Paris fashion puts on dozens of shows, some of them quite original," he explains. "Such is the case with designers Viktor and Rolf." Equipped with the Sony Alpha 1 and a super-telephoto – the Sony 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 G Master, Camus waited for this moment to compose the unique image.
"To photograph a fashion show, we are placed on a catwalk facing the models. For this photo I waited until I had a black background to emphasize the volume of the hairstyle. The photo was taken when the model was moving away and towards the backstage. The composition and the golden colors give it a futuristic feel.”
