After getting a late start to the tennis matches at the French Open due to rain, AP photographer Thibault Camus took advantage of the overcast sky and special atmosphere. "The news during the first week of the Roland Garros Tennis Open was more in the air than on the tennis courts. The rain disrupted the program and the matches were postponed."

Looking for a composition that would convey the situation, Camus arrived early on a day he was slated to cover an evening match, camera, a Sony Alpha 1 with Sony 35mm f/1.8, in hand.  He explains, "That day, instead of starting my day at 11am, the first match I was supposed to cover started at 6pm. The sky was overcast and the trees in the Bois de Boulogne, which runs alongside the court, gave it a very special atmosphere. The spectators were excited."

He continues, "When I climbed to the top of the court to get a general view, I saw these two friends chatting and laughing a lot. Before the rain interrupted the match once again, I took a photo of them under their umbrellas. The scene takes the form of a kind of heart. The players were only able to play for a few minutes, and the match finished the next day."
