Patrick Murphy-Racey is best known for his enduring career as a top-level sports photographer, but that’s hardly his only strength. In his work for a varied group of clients, the multi-talented professional routinely produces 4K video, studio portraits and “run & gun” photo and video work. From the time of his experience as early tester of the camera, Murphy-Racey has been building a library of in-use videos on his YouTube channel demonstrating the capabilities of the Sony α9 as a sports-action super-camera. In the videos below, you can see PMR's reviews, how he sets up the camera for sports and how he's able to adapt any lens in his arsenal of rare glass (yes he owns that 600mm f/4) that he's accumulated over his many years working the sidelines.

Even though this post is about Patrick Murphy-Racey's sports shooting, here's a recent video he did using the α9's Quick And Slow features at the a balloon festival in New Mexico. PMR used his α9 with his 35mm f/2.8, 12-24mm f/4 G, 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master, 70-200mm f/2.8 G Master and 100-400mm f/4-5.6 G Master lenses.
