After the official launch of the new Alpha 7R VI camera and 100-400mm f/4.5 G Master lens, creators came together in New York City for the latest event in the Sony community – Alpha In Residence.
Over the course of two days, attendees had the opportunity to try out Sony’s latest cameras and lenses while learning from some of the top creators in the industry through:
- Panels and presentations featuring Sue Bryce, Chris Burkard, Colby Brown, Hannah Rheaume and Jake Guzman
- Stage shoots with Brooke Shaden, Dana Scruggs and Sue Bryce
- Photowalks led by Colby Brown, Dani Hamm, Tony Northrup, Hannah Rheaume, Emmett Sparling and Jared Vandermeer

“Got a chance to test drive the new Alpha 7R VI and new 100-400mm f/4.5 G Master lens in NYC this week. This may be the best camera ever made. 67MP, 30fps burst shooting, 4k 120 video and stacked with Sony’s best autofocus and AI technology - what more could you want? I also chased around a few squirrels in Central Park with that new 100-400GM and was blown away by how sharp it was. Near prime-level sharpness (the second shot of the squirrel is just a tight crop of the first shot). Just an insane lens.”
