Hernan Farias (@hfphotography) was born in Chile and has been living in the UK for the past 12 years. His passion for photography started as a young boy and has only grown throughout his life - he’s 44 now and capturing portrait, travel, lifestyle photography and videography full time. Sony Alpha 7R IV: This has been a perfect camera and tool for what I do. The amazing resolution offered and its wonderful AF gives me amazing results and freedom in my work.

Sony Alpha 9: The Sony Alpha 9 gave me the necessary speed to capture unique moments that would have just simply been impossible with another camera. Amazing AF and versatility are what you need when capturing portraits in Asia’s fast-paced cities.

Sony Alpha 7S III: In an always evolving world, videography has been added to what I also do, that’s why I also have a Sony Alpha 7S III as part of my kit.
Lenses
Sony 24mm f/1.4 G Master: This is without a doubt one of my favorite lenses in my camera bag. It produces beautiful sharp images with wonderful colors. It is also an amazing lens for video.

Sony 85mm f/1.4 G Master: This is my ideal lens for portrait photography alongside my Sony 135mm GM. Both lenses offer stunning resolution and beautiful tones. They also work incredibly well for my video work (B-Roll).

Sony 90mm f/2.8 G Macro: This is the perfect lens for all of my studio and commercial work. A true must in any camera bag.

Sony 12-24mm f/2.8 G Master: This lens is my most recent purchase. It’s amazing for those vast landscapes and a dream for any videographer.

Sony 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G: This is an incredibly fun and useful lens for those shots that would have been impossible with a shorter range. Perfect for wildlife, but also in my case a fantastic lens to capture video without altering people’s mood.
