Star Trails Workshop In Borrego Springs, CA With Stan Moniz

Borrego Springs was first official International Dark Sky Community in California and is the perfect location to capture the beauty of the night sky. It is also home to 150 of sculptor Ricardo Breceda’s supersized metal sculptures.

Join Alpha Collective member Stan Moniz (@stanmoniz) for the night and you will learn astrophotography techniques while being able to capture stars and star trails in the background after dark. Stan will teach the following topics so that you can make them your own: -The foundation for capturing sharp stars. -Proper exposure times and image balance. -Creative compositions with the North Star. -Star trails in one exposure only. -How to shoot consecutive exposures to stack for a single star trail image. -The use of external lightning to enhance shadows and highlights in a scene. -In-field editing with LightRoom Mobile.
