Introducing...Instagram Follow Fridays!

With over 1 billion active users, Instagram is a great place for photographers to share their work for the world to see. The @SonyAlpha account, having recently passed one million followers, sees a wide range of stunning photos posted from followers on the platform each and every day. As more and more photographers discover what it means to Be Alpha, our creative community continues to expand. With such an active and growing group, we thought it would be fun to share a few of our favorites to follow on Instagram each Friday. Check out these photographers who are doing great work, and, if you like what you see – give them a follow too!

Rachel Jones Ross – @rachel_jones_ross

You’ll definitely want to follow this Alpha Collective member closely for the next week as she explores the Canadian Rockies (which she happens to call home!) with other members of the Sony Alpha Imaging Collective. Rachel finds much of her inspiration at night, posting dreamy captures of the Milky Way on her page.

Chau’s Photography – @chau1988

An adventure photographer currently based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Chau posts beautiful photos exploring the island. Some of his most remarkable posts feature an up close and personal view of various underwater creatures. His advice if you want to photograph sharks? “To simply be wary of your surroundings and to stay especially calm and maintain eye contact if they ever approach you closely.”

Dan Marker-Moore – @danorst

Another member of the Sony Alpha Imaging Collective, Dan’s passions include cityscapes, landscapes, time slices and GIFs. He’s currently based in Los Angeles and uses his page to beautifully document the city – along with its traffic!

Caroline Jensen – @carolinej

Caroline is a Sony Artisan and natural light photographer specializing in portraits, macro and colorful landscapes. Whether it be a flower, butterfly or someone’s face, she makes it a point to focus on the subject. The way she brings light into her photos while maintaining their simplicity makes her page an easy one to follow.

Lai & Lukasz – @travel.n.think

This travel photography duo goes all over the globe with their Sony gear to share more of the world with their followers. Their Instagram bio proclaims they are two travelers who, “Share our pictures to those who can travel but don't and those who want but can't. We share to spark the change.”
