We’ll have a ton of knowledge on tap for both photo and video shooters alike throughout the day. Learn how to start your own YouTube Channel in a workshop presented by Sony Artisan and seasoned YouTuber Miguel Quiles. Discover the fundamentals of bringing a successful creative project to life in Sony Artisan Monica Sigmon’s Art In Motion workshop. And, if you’re in for a few laughs, don’t miss Sony Artisans Jermaine Horton and Colby Brown in their Trading Spaces workshop, where they’ll have a live discussion about their latest video series where they took turns swapping photography roles. Watch as the two step far outside their comfort zones to learn from each other.
Go even more in depth with Sony gear during a number of workshops featuring Sony Alpha cameras and Sony lenses. Explore wedding photography with the 50mm lens in Sony Artisan Jose Villa’s workshop as he breaks down all parts of a wedding where he reaches for his 50mm G Master. Learn the advantages of working with a compact camera system in Sony Artisan Ira Block’s workshop where he’ll share his experience using the new 24mm, 40mm and 50mm G lenses with his Sony Alpha 7C camera. See which tools of the trade Alpha Collective member Rachel Jones Ross includes in her bag for wide-angle shooting of astro-landscapes and dive into landscape photography with the Sony Xperia 1 III in Alpha Collective member Mahesh Thapa’s workshop.
You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from two of our recent Alpha Female+ grant winners, Elizabeth Cayouette and Kristin Atwood, in their respective workshops. In Cayouette’s workshop she will guide you through some of her top practical tips for shooting commercial video and in Atwood’s she will take you through the making of her grant-winning project, Flight Of The Bumblebees.
