On day three, attendees at Kando Trip 2.0 had an all-star lineup of workshops and excursions headlined by Sony Artisans of Imagery and Alpha Imaging Collective members that were eager to share an intimate look into their creative and technical approach. All day long, the photographers and filmmakers in Monterey, CA jumped between immersive shooting experiences including a location portraiture master class with Sony Artisan Brian Smith and an immersive underwater photography clinic with Sony Artisan Ben Lowy.
Beyond hands-on shooting, Kando offered a wealth of opportunities to build up business acumen with classes taught by pros like Sony Artisan Sara France who has successfully built an all-female powerhouse enterprise with her partners she calls her “tribe”.
Fine art photographers filled the slots in Sony Artisan Thibault Roland’s long exposure workshop where he shared his signature strategy for capturing beautifully polished images.
Alpha Collective member Paola Franqui teamed up with Sony Artisan Nino Rakichevich to lead an enormously popular street photography excursion where they offered their top tips for building confidence while working with strangers and capturing the stories of a place and the people who make it their home.
World-class landscape photographers and Sony Artisans Gary Hart and Don Smith lead groups of early risers on an epic sunrise excursion along the magnificent coast of Big Sur.
