Happy National Dog Day! We love an opportunity to celebrate man's best friend, and we also love a chance to feature fantastic Sony photographers on Instagram. Using a variety of Sony Alpha camera bodies like the Sony Alpha 9 II and Sony Alpha 7 IV, along with Sony lenses like the Sony 24mm f/1.4 G Master and the Sony 135mm f/1.8 G Master, these photographers are skilled at capturing the adorable and active personalities of their furry friends. It's National Dog Day and we are HERE FOR IT. Check out these Sony photographers who are posting photos of their adorable furry friends.

Ben Moon - @Ben_Moon

Sony Artisan Ben Moon is mostly known for his adventure and lifestyle photography and filmmaking. However, he also knows the power of the bond between a man and his dog. He recently made the film below, Nori by the Sea, about his rescue dog Nori. He filmed it all on the Sony Alpha 7S III and the Sony 35mm 1.4 G Master lens. Moon described this film by stating, “my relationship with dogs has always brought a lot of joy, and this past year Nori’s companionship felt even more important. I hope this short film can bring a smile.“ Moon also recently published a memoir, Denali: A Man, a Dog, and the Friendship of a Lifetime, about his journey with cancer and the importance of his relationship with his dog.

Lindsay Baca - @sitstaypetphotography

Lindsay Baca is a dog photographer based in Portland, Oregon who has been doing this for over 10 years. When it comes to photographing a dog's personality, Baca is an expert. She never fails to get stunning images of the dog smiling or running, or looking majestic. Baca uses the Sony Alpha 9 II as her primary camera, and she used it with the Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 G Master lens to capture the cute photo below. Check out what other gear she uses HERE

Tim and Jen Orendorff - @orendorffstudios

Husband and wife team, Tim and Jen Orendorff are photographers specializing in headshots, senior photos, pets and sports portraits in South Central Pennsylvania. The duo take fun and beautiful portraits of their clients, be it a human or a pup! We love the expression in the image below - take a look at what gear they use HERE.

Stephanie Zimmer - @StephanieZimmer_

Stephanie Zimmer is a New York-based pet photographer. Using her Sony Alpha 7 III, Zimmer takes stunning portraits of dogs and other animals in her studio in Brooklyn. Zimmer shared her kit and some of her techniques in getting dogs to look at her and maintain an expression HERE.

Chris Van Riel - @vanrielchris

Based in Zwolle, The Netherlands, photographer Chris Van Riel is known for photographing dogs in mid air. Leaping for a disk or running towards the camera, Van Reil is able to capture the motion in incredible detail using his Sony Alpha 9 and the Sony 135mm f/1.8 G Master. Nick Didlick - @aibovancouver

Photographer Nick Didlick (@nickdidlick) runs this account of his robotic dogs, Aibo and Aigal. He describes the name in the account bio: “aibo (a robot dog designed by Sony) means 'companion' in Japanese but it is an abbreviation for 'artificial intelligence bot' ('bot' meaning 'robot').” The account has amazing imagery of the robotic pups in all kinds of scenes. From celebrating Christmas and Valentine's day to getting into trouble and chewing things up - you never know what adventures his aibos are going to get into! If you’re in search of two best friends to make you smile, look no further! Aksel and Dexter are two adorable pups who share a mom, photographer Traci, who photographs them with the Sony Alpha 7R III. We love seeing what these best pals are up to. Fenne - @chihuahua.fenne

This seven-year-old chihuahua crossbreed living in the Netherlands would like to introduce herself. “My humom loves to make pictures of me with her Sony Alpha 7 III and Sony 50mm f/1.8 and I’m a really nice model in exchange for cookies of course. Splinter the adventure corgi - @splinterthecorgi

Splinter is a four-year-old corgi living with his 18-year-old dog mom Rozanne in Norway. He enjoys hiking, playing with the ball and food, while she enjoys documenting his adventures on her Sony Alpha 7 IV. The photo below shows how adventuresome this little guy is - climbing mountains with his four tiny legs! The image was taken with the Sony 24mm f/1.4 G Master.
