In partnership with the Alpha Female+ program, Sony Pictures and their Gemstone Studios have collaborated on the Gemstone Studios Rising Storytellers Search to find the next great filmmaker. The program focuses on elevating diverse and underrepresented creators with authentic stories to tell, giving them the chance to pitch original content to Studio executives. The deadline to apply is rapidly approaching – all submissions must be in by September 21.

Pitch yourself and your original series for the chance to receive a development deal with Gemstone Studios and Sony Pictures Television worth $30,000.

The program is accepting concepts across all scripted, premium, episodic television genres. Submit your pitch for an original story in video format, with optional supplemental materials by September 21. The top four candidates will be notified by October 20 and will create their own sizzle reel to pitch to Gemstone Studios. On November 16, the winning proposal selected by Gemstone Studios will be announced, and its creator will have a chance to sign a development deal worth $30,000!
