March is Women’s History Month and in our final of the series, we’re featuring female photographers who are leading the way in the industry.
Gabriella Morton – @gabriellamorton
Gabriella Morton is a New Zealand-based photographer who believes the most powerful form of communication is bridging the gap between art and important messages like science, philosophy and our environment. By intertwining the two, she hopes to contribute to a strong narrative that ultimately leads toward a more sustainable future. She is exposed to a wide variety of subject matter through her freelance work, but the wonder of the natural world is the main thing that motivates her. Katrin Eismann – @katrin_eismann
Katrin Eismann is an artist, author, educator and photographer who specializes in interpretive travel, still life and portrait photography. The Sony Artisan has so much passion for her work and as her Instagram bio says, she’s “a little tall and a lot enthusiastic!” Most recently she’s been posting photos in a series called “Duality of Vision,” a photographic project by Eismann and @john_jmac_mcintosh sharing the contrasting points of view of the same scene or location. Ashley is a member of the Alpha Collective, and as her Instagram handle suggests, likes to roam New York City with her Sony Alpha gear. She captures scenes on the streets of the Big Apple or whichever city she happens to be traveling to at the time. Diana Ardelean – @diana_ardelean_photography
Diana Ardelean is a multi-disciplinary artist with a lifelong background in fashion design, specialized in bridal and evening wear, painting and photography. She creates challenging composite series that feature herself wearing costumes that she designed, pushing her emotional and physical boundaries by becoming both the subject matter and the materiality. She creates these dreamy, fine art self portraits using her Sony α6300.
Me Ra Koh – @merakoh
Me Ra Koh is a Sony Artisan, renowned portrait photographer and master storyteller who has been inspiring families for 20 years through her work. She is passionate about using her photography to help build stronger families and connection. She works hard to discover what means most to the families she photographs so they can shine through their portraits and enjoy everyday in their home. Shravya Kag – @shravyakag
Shravya Kag is a photo and video documentarian based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work is an exploration of home, identity, and personal space and her work has been published in The New York Times, Vogue, WWD, Fast Company, Tribeca Film Festival and more. She won an Alpha Female+ Grant for her project, "The International Express," where she documented life along the winding route that the 7 Train takes through New York for several weeks. Victoria Siemer is a member of the Alpha Collective who combines her photography with a unique design style that results in thought-provoking, otherworldly creations. Maureen Denny – @maureendenny
Maureen Denny is a nature and conceptual art photographer. She finds creative ways to include landscapes into her altered pixels works. She found photography in her late 50s and fully dove in after retiring in 2019. Her images are a collection of self-portraits that delves deep into the wonder of imagination, and she really began exploring this journey as a part of #WhiteWallWednesdayPortraits with Sony Artisan Brooke Shaden. She created the shot below using her Sony α7 IIII and Sony 24-70mm f/4 lens.
