Since travel isn't currently an option due to the coronavirus lockdowns, travel writer and photographer Erin Sullivan (@erinoutdoors) has had to get creative – and what she's come up with is gaining a lot of attention. A recent article posted by CNN Travel features the Alpha Collective member and her #OurGreatIndoors Project. The project involves Sullivan crafting macro scenes that resemble travel adventures, and they're all made in her own home.
"I was asking myself how I can stay creative and how I can stay connected to the outdoors and travel -- to these things that have been so important to my growth and the growth of my community," Sullivan told CNN.
"Sullivan has received overwhelming praise for her photography series, gaining nearly 85,000 followers in the four weeks since she posted on Instagram her first picture of the ice caves built with pillows and train figures."
You can listen to Sullivan discuss the project in-depth on this Alpha Universe Podcast, and read more about how she did it here.
