Instagram Follow Friday – April 19, 2019

It’s been a busy week for #BeAlpha, with more and more photographers choosing Sony to capture the world’s greatest places and life’s greatest moments. We picked out a few of our favorite accounts to feature this week, but make sure you follow @sonyalpha for daily Sony photos captured by you, and shared by us. Tag your own Sony photos on Instagram with #BeAlpha for your chance to be featured!

Photographers working at one of the most difficult places on Earth highlight this week's AlphaUniverse.com Follow Friday

Tomáš Havel – @tomashavel

Tomáš is an outdoor and commercial photographer, and you should be prepared for pretty much every photo he posts to take your breath away. His account is filled with fantastic captures of otherworldly landscapes from perspectives that will blow your mind. If you like beautiful sceneries, give him a follow. Make sure you check out the Instagram stories from his adventures, too! This beautiful photo below was taken on his latest trip to the Himalayas using the Sony α7R II and Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 G Master.

Connor Surdi – @connorsurdi

Connor Surdi is a member of the Sony Alpha Imaging Collective and a photographer for Starbucks. You’ll see from his account that he’s the adventurous type, always posting intriguing photos from different places. Last year he explored the Outback with his Sony gear and others from the #AlphaCollective. Check out his cool post below, which he shot using his Sony α7R III and Sony 24mm f/1.4 G Master.

Sapna Reddy – @sapnareddy

Sapna’s Instagram account is filled with brilliant landscapes from all corners of the Earth. After a decade using Nikon, she made the switch to Sony and has nothing but good things to say – “The focusing ability in low light/low contrast scenery blows my mind.” She has 25.4k followers and her photos have been used by or featured in NatGeo, NBC, Apple, Adobe and more. The photo below shows the diverse landscapes at Death Valley, and was taken using her Sony α7R III with the 16-35mm f/2.8 G Master.

Scott Wesson – @thetravelvibe

Scott is another member of the Alpha Collective who is always up to travel, capturing impressive landscapes wherever he goes. He often makes his way into the frame to show just how magnificent these locations are, and just how tiny we are compared to them. Last year he was a part of #AICdoesCanada and brought plenty of Sony gear along for the trip. Scroll through his photos for a true glimpse into a Sony photographer who is choosing to #BeAlpha. This stunning shot below was taken in Norway using his Sony α7 II.

Renan Ozturk – @renan_ozturk

Renan is a Sony Artisan of Imagery whose work captures and tells rich human stories with a strong sense of place in the landscapes and cultures that define modern documentary style. Every photo on his account is a story within itself – sometimes it’s a portrait of someone from a different culture, sometimes it’s an incredible landscape that reminds you of the vastness of the world. Give him a follow for inspiration to learn more about the world and its people. The photo below was taken using his Sony α7R III.
