“The mountains are calling, and I must go…”, part of the famous John Muir quote that outdoor adventurers cling to because of the way it resonates with their own feelings. And we don’t blame them, there’s something about mountains that make us feel alive and provides us with perspective. That’s why this week we’re featuring a group of Sony shooters who have posted inspiring mountain photos. Check out their work and give them a follow. He took this photo of the Great Smoky Mountains, part of the Blue Ridge Mountain range, with his Sony α7R.
Sam Oetiker – @samoetiker
Sam is a Sony shooter based in Munich, Germany. He loves to explore the mountains that are just a stone’s throw away. When it comes to his photography he says, "When shooting in the mountains it can be easy to lose the sense of how big your surroundings are. I like to try and place objects in my shots to help convey the sheer size of the landscape." He took the shot below of Tre Cime di Lavaredo in Italy with his Sony α7 III and Sony 24-105mm f/4.
