The Sony Community Is Growing On TikTok, Follow These Creatives & @SonyAlpha To Keep Up

The Sony community on TikTok is growing, and this week we’re bringing you another group of Sony shooters who are making their mark on the platform. Check out the creatives and follow their accounts below, and check out these tips for creating TikTok videos and how photographers can leverage the platform. Don’t forget to follow @sonyalpha for more Sony creative content in your feed and the latest from the Alpha Universe.

Check out these creatives on TikTok and follow @sonyalpha on TikTok to keep up with the latest from the Alpha Universe.

Sony Alpha Universe – @sonyalpha

Follow @sonyalpha on TikTok and don’t miss a beat from the Sony community thriving on the platform. Check out the post from Alpha Collective member @renee.roaming and choose which is your favorite photo - the one taken with the Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 G Master or Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 G Master?!

Cath Simard – @cathsimard_

Alberta-based photographer and Alpha Collective member Cath Simard creates scroll-stopping landscape and astroscape images with her Sony Alpha gear, and she’ll travel to great lengths to get the photo she wants. She’s also a digital artist and she’s involved in the NFT world (you can read more from her on NFTs here). She posts her NFT projects and photography on her TikTok account, sharing the beautiful scenes of the Canadian Rockies and more with her followers.

Braedin Toth – @braedin_toth

Vancouver-based creative and Alpha Collective member Braedin Toth goes on many outdoor adventures, and on his TikTok account he’s bringing you along for the ride. His work has a soothing, low light look to it, bringing a unique perspective of the wilderness to your feed. Check out the post below where he shows off the 30 photos per second he’s able to take with the Sony Alpha 1 and Sony 35mm f/1.4 G Master combination.

Lydia Ripplinger – @lydebug

Lydia Ripplinger is a wildlife photographer and self-proclaimed bird nerd. On her TikTok account you’ll find animals of all kinds in their natural habitats, most of which she documents using her go-to camera and lens combo of the Sony Alpha 9 and the Sony 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G. If you love animals and all things nature, her account is a must-follow.

Alexandru Don – @alexandrudon

Alexandru Don is a filmmaker and adrenaline junkie, both of which you’ll see in action on his TikTok account. He has some rigs that might just give you a little gear envy, featuring gimbals and cages for his Alpha cameras like the Sony Alpha 7S III and Alpha 7C and his cinema cameras like the FX6 and FX3. If you’re a big fan of photo and video gear served with a side of adventure, his account is one you should follow.

Simon Meyer – @simonmeyer_director

Simon Meyer is a film director based in Berlin. He posts a lot of stop motion videos along with behind-the-scenes on his TikTok account. His go-to combination for creating is the Sony Alpha 7S III and Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master. He also happens to have a series where he uses odd items as lenses on his camera (a Pringles can, a potato), but we don’t recommend trying that at home.

Cesar Borgaro – @bycbvisuals

Travel content creator Cesar Borgaro posts TikTok videos of his photography adventures with his Sony Alpha 7 III camera. He shows a lot of raw content from his point of view vs. the final results from his camera, and it’s pretty incredible what he’s able to create out of the scenes he comes across. Follow his account to see where he takes his camera next.
